“2010 Young Artist Concerto Competition”

The Kokomo Symphonic Society has cancelled this competition due to funding issues. We are hoping to reinstate it in the near future.

December 3, 2010 at 7:30 pm at Grace United Methodist Church - “East Meets West” KSYO and Intermediate Strings

The Kokomo Symphony Youth Orchestra will perform the music of Peter Warlock and music from Thailand while showcasing their talents in a FREE winter concert for all ages.

January 5, 2011 4:30-5:30 at Grace United Methodist Church - Kokomo Symphony Youth Programs Registration

All interested students in grades K-12 may register for the KSYO, Beginning Strings, and Intermediate Strings programs.

February 13, 2011 2:00 pm at Sycamore Village Health Care - “Hearts & Roses” KSYO chamber groups

The youth program students break into smaller chamber groups to give back to the Kokomo community by displaying their talents and performing for the residents of Sycamore Village in a celebration of the spirit of St. Valentine’s Day.

May 6, 2011 7:30 pm at Grace United Methodist Church - KSYO and Beginning & Intermediate Strings

The music of Copland Pizaaolla and Dvorak will be performed by the KSYO while the talents of the Beginning and Intermediate Strings are showcased in this FREE spring concert suitable for all ages.

May 21, 2011 7:30 pm at IUK’s Havens Auditorium - “Best of the Classics” KSO

May 28th, 2011 - 17th Annual Composer Classic 5K & Melodic Mile Run/Walk
